Revlon: Minted

To be honest, as far as mint shades go this isn't my favourite. Sure, it's a pretty colour, but the formula is absolutely terrible. It's runny and pools in your cuticles, and requires three coats because it leaves bald patches and streaking. Personally, I'd avoid this one if you can find something else in a similar shade.

China Glaze: Custom Kicks (Kicks Collection, 2009)

This colour is really beautiful. To be honest, I'm not quite sure how to describe the colour, it's not quite a teal, but it definitely has a slight blue undertone. Colour aside, the gold iridescent shimmer is what really draws you in. It's stunning! This polish has a lovely consistency, and only requires two coats. My only gripe is that it stained my nails really badly despite having a base coat on. If you're going to wear this one make sure you take preventative measures!

 Revlon: Emerald City

I bought this one out of pure curiosity, plus the name relates back to the Wizard of Oz, so I had to have it. The bottle describes it as a 'matte suede', and I was curious to see what a matte suede looks like. It's a very easy formula to work with, 2 coats to create opacity, and it dried completely within about half an hour without the aid of a fast drying top coat. I was skeptical as to how well this would last without a top coat as it would lose it's matte effect if I used one, but it lasted 5 days with no chipping! In saying that though, if you do want to use a top coat it really does look stunning with a bit of shine, it really brings out the subtle shimmer in it. Another interesting tidbit: it feels like teflon. Strange huh? Water runs right off it!

OPI: Ski Teal We Drop (Swiss Collection, 2010)

I have to admit, I've only worn this colour once, and I wasn't overly fond of it. That's not to say that you should avoid it though, I just prefer brighter colours. It's a deep, rich teal colour. It isn't prominently green or blue, it's a good even combination of the two. Good consistency and applies evenly. I think the reason I didn't fall in love with the colour is because in some lights it can tend to look a bit 'forest green' rather than the true teal it appears to be in the bottle. But overall, if you wear darker colours you will probably love this polish.

OPI: Mermaid's Tears (Pirates Of The Caribbean Collection, 2011)

This is an interesting shade. Haunting yet very pretty. It looks slightly more grey in the bottle than it does on your nails, but it comes out a lovely dusty seafoam green colour. As with most pastel type shades, the formula could be a little better. It's not super runny like some, but it could do with a little thickening up. While it's nice that it goes on smoothly, it does take about 3 coats to get an even coverage. Overall, I like this polish. It's a lovely shade for Spring and it's a little out of the ordinary.
