OPI: Happy Anniversary (25th Anniversary Collection, 2006)
When
I saw this colour I was so mesmerised and intrigued that I knew I had
to buy it. It's consistency in the bottle makes it look like liquid
silver (as opposed to liquid gold?). It's what I'd call a white silver,
it's definitely a unique shade. Good consistency and easy to apply,
however you'll need at least 3 coats to create opacity. Looks great
layered or by itself. The interesting thing about this shade on your
nails is that from some angles it looks almost see-through, and from
other angles its a very solid colour. Very sparkly and pretty, if you're
a real girly girl you can't miss out on this one.

OPI: Glitzerland (Swiss Collection, 2010)
This
colour is just mesmerising. It looks like gold foil on your nails!
Would look great on dark skin, but also suits my pale skin tone. Would
probably avoid it if your excessively tanned though. Opaque in 2 coats,
and its great for detailing over other colours. I like to use it on my
tips (like a french tip) with a contrasting colour as the base.
Definitely buy this colour if you're after a gold that isn't a glitter. I
think I'll be going through this bottle very quickly...

OPI: Teenage Dream (Katy Perry Collection, 2011)
Love, love, LOVE this polish! I wasn't originally a fan of glitter polishes,
I thought they tended to look a bit tacky, but this one is so pretty and not at
all in-your-face that it's completely changed my mind about glitter polishes. I
like doing just a single coat for a subtle shimmer, so I do a coat of OPI's
'Malaysian Mist' underneath because I don't like my tips showing through
translucent shades, and it compliments it nicely. If you want a full on glitter
look, you should get an opaque look after about 3 coats. I also like that once
a clear top coat is applied it doesn't feel too 'sandpapery' like some
glitters. Definitely recommend this one if you're looking for something girly
with a bit of sparkle.

China Glaze: Ruby Pumps (Wizard of Ooh Ahz Collection, 2001 &2009)
This colour is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Definitely one of my favourites
in my stash. It originally came from the 'Wizard of Ooh Ahz' collection
back in 2001, and they re-released the collection again in 2009. I'm so
glad they did! Just as the name suggests, this colour is reminiscent of
Dorothy's ruby shoes in the Wizard of Oz. It's a medium-dark red base
with the most amazing red glitter through it. Goes opaque in 2 coats, or
you can layer one coat over other colours for a different look. It
isn't a real pain to get off like some glitters are either. For anyone
looking for a sparkly red, GET THIS COLOUR. You won't regret it.
Promise.

Technic: Carnival
I bought Technic's 'Carnival' because I missed out on OPI's 'Rainbow
Connection' from the Muppets Collection and had heard that Carnival was a
good dupe. I don't have RC to compare it to, but Carnival is a very
decent glitter polish. It's packed full of sparklies and the brush picks
up so much glitter than I only need to dip it in the bottle once to do
my whole nail. It mainly consists of red, blue, green, gold and silver
glitters, in both chunky hexagon shapes and smaller round pieces. I don't think it's 3 free, but the smell isn't so overpowering that you can't breathe. If you're after a rainbow glitter polish, this one delivers and won't break the bank.

Essie: Golden Nuggets
There's really not much to say about this one. It's an extremely fine
gold glitter in a clear base. Super sparkly, and works really well over
the top of a wide range range of colours. Very easy application, not too
thick or too runny. Has good coverage, but if you want to wear it alone
you will have to build it up. If you're after a gold glitter, this one
does the job!
