OPI: Don't Pretzel My Buttons (Germany Collection, 2012)

This is a beautiful creamy beige, and as far as I'm concerned it's one of the best beiges available because of it's medium tone. Unfortunately, it takes three coats for perfection. One coat is streaky, and two coats creates opacity but leaves a slightly uneven texture. However, it's creamy consistency is lovely so I don't mind applying it three times!

OPI: Happy Anniversary (25th Anniversary Collection, 2006)

When I saw this colour I was so mesmerised and intrigued that I knew I had to buy it. It's consistency in the bottle makes it look like liquid silver (as opposed to liquid gold?). It's what I'd call a white silver, it's definitely a unique shade. Good consistency and easy to apply, however you'll need at least 3 coats to create opacity. Looks great layered or by itself. The interesting thing about this shade on your nails is that from some angles it looks almost see-through, and from other angles its a very solid colour. Very sparkly and pretty, if you're a real girly girl you can't miss out on this one.

OPI: Need Sunglasses? (Brights Collection, 2006)

If you're looking for a warm yellow colour, you've found one. I've yet to try this one on my nails as yellows generally don't work on me, so I'll be coupling it with other colours, but I have tried it on my colour wheel so I can still talk about it's consistency. I've got to say I wasn't overly impressed. What looks like it's going to be a nice creamy consistency in the bottle is actually fairly watered down and streaky. Takes 3 coats for full coverage. If you have the patience for the 3 coats it's a great colour for summer.

OPI: Plugged In Plum (Brights Collection, 2006)

I would call this colour more of an electric violet than plum. It's a deep purple, but somehow manages to be bright at the same time. Maybe it's because of the subtle shimmer through it. For me this is a perfect purple because it's dark but doesn't give me a 'bruised finger' look. Good consistency but it does apply a little streaky. Evens out with a second coat.

OPI: Ski Teal We Drop (Swiss Collection, 2010)

I have to admit, I've only worn this colour once, and I wasn't overly fond of it. That's not to say that you should avoid it though, I just prefer brighter colours. It's a deep, rich teal colour. It isn't prominently green or blue, it's a good even combination of the two. Good consistency and applies evenly. I think the reason I didn't fall in love with the colour is because in some lights it can tend to look a bit 'forest green' rather than the true teal it appears to be in the bottle. But overall, if you wear darker colours you will probably love this polish.

OPI: Come To Poppy (Nice Stems Collection, 2010)

This was the first OPI polish I owned. This started the obsession. It's a beautiful consistency, not too thick and not too runny. If you do thick coats you can get away with one coat, although I'd recommend two. Slightly streaky though so make sure you apply it in straight strokes. It's a pretty pink with the slightest hint of a coral undertone. It's also got a silvery shimmer through it which catches the light perfectly. If you can get your hands on a bottle I'd recommend it. There's something about it that just sets it apart from other pinks.

OPI: Glitzerland (Swiss Collection, 2010)

This colour is just mesmerising. It looks like gold foil on your nails! Would look great on dark skin, but also suits my pale skin tone. Would probably avoid it if your excessively tanned though. Opaque in 2 coats, and its great for detailing over other colours. I like to use it on my tips (like a french tip) with a contrasting colour as the base. Definitely buy this colour if you're after a gold that isn't a glitter. I think I'll be going through this bottle very quickly...

OPI: Are We There Yet? (Touring America Collection, 2011)

I'm not completely sold on the shade of this colour. I was looking for a peachy colour with a pink undertone, and this is more of a coral with an orange undertone. It is very pretty under certain lights (like the shop lighting where I bought it), but under other lights it just looks a bit 'dirty salmon' to me. Looks a little lighter in the bottle than on my nails too. The formula however is lovely. Not too thick or runny and has a smooth application. Needs 2 coats for full opacity. I'd recommend wearing this colour for spring, it's not quite rich enough for me to consider it an autumn colour.

OPI: It's Totally Fort Worth It (Texas Collection, 2011)

In the bottle, this shade appears to be grey with iridescent pinkish/lavender flecks through it. On the nail however it's very much a silver rather than a grey. It's not metallic though, so it quite suits the flecks of colour. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with a warm skin tone, but if you're pale like me then go for it. It takes at least 3 (possibly 4) coats to become opaque, so I suggest wearing just a coat or 2 for a more subtle approach. Very pretty and I'd recommend it if you're looking for a silver that isn't flat.

OPI: Pink Shatter (Pink of Hearts Collection, 2011)

I love anything pink, so I had to have this shatter. It's my first shatter, and I almost wish I'd just picked another colour. I found that it's very transparent, so if used on a dark colour base it just looks a bit messy and lumpy when the light doesn't catch it and the true pink colour isn't obvious. I was really looking forward to using this pink shatter on top of a black colour so it was a bit of a let down. Instead I use it on top of OPI's 'It's Totally Fort Worth It' which looks quite nice, but really would have liked to have been able to use it over dark colours too. If you're going to own only one shatter, I suggest black. On the plus side, it isn't too obvious when it starts to chip if it's used on a light coloured base :)

OPI: Do You Lilac It? (Brights Collection, 2006)

I can't speak highly enough of this colour. It's the perfect shade of lilac purple and I think of all my OPI's its one of my favourites. It does take a few coats to get an even coverage, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. For anyone looking for a pretty purple polish, this one is definitely a winner unless you're too impatient to do a few coats.

OPI: Got A Date To-Knight! (Princess Charming Collection, 2006)
Can't say I was overly impressed with this one. It takes at least 3 coats to get an even coverage but unlike other colours that require several coats and are still worth using, Got A Date To-Knight's formula is very runny and I found that it tended to pool in my cuticles. It also takes a bit longer than most OPI's I own to dry. I must admit it is a very pretty colour, but I'd recommend looking for a similar shade with a better formula.

OPI: Mermaid's Tears (Pirates Of The Caribbean Collection, 2011)

This is an interesting shade. Haunting yet very pretty. It looks slightly more grey in the bottle than it does on your nails, but it comes out a lovely dusty seafoam green colour. As with most pastel type shades, the formula could be a little better. It's not super runny like some, but it could do with a little thickening up. While it's nice that it goes on smoothly, it does take about 3 coats to get an even coverage. Overall, I like this polish. It's a lovely shade for Spring and it's a little out of the ordinary.

OPI: Teenage Dream (Katy Perry Collection, 2011)

Love, love, LOVE this polish! I wasn't originally a fan of glitter polishes, I thought they tended to look a bit tacky, but this one is so pretty and not at all in-your-face that it's completely changed my mind about glitter polishes. I like doing just a single coat for a subtle shimmer, so I do a coat of OPI's 'Malaysian Mist' underneath because I don't like my tips showing through translucent shades, and it compliments it nicely. If you want a full on glitter look, you should get an opaque look after about 3 coats. I also like that once a clear top coat is applied it doesn't feel too 'sandpapery' like some glitters. Definitely recommend this one if you're looking for something girly with a bit of sparkle.

OPI: No Room For The Blues (Bright Pair Collection, 2009)

This is a really fun shade of sky blue. I love how bright it is, perfect for spring and summer. I found that the brush picked up alot of the polish compared with my other OPI's, but that was fine because it allowed me to do a slightly thicker coat, meaning I got away with 2 coats instead of my usual 3. This colour is great by itself, or it works well with any sky themed nail art.

OPI: You're A Pisa Work (Italian Collection, 2001)

This pink is super bright and lots of fun! It has a slight raspberry undertone which separates this colour from alot of very similar shades. Very Barbie. Has a creamy consistency and goes on a little thicker than I'd like, which means less coats are required but there's more chance of peeling (not that I've had a problem with it yet). It compliments quite alot of the colours in my collection.

OPI: A Good Man-darin Is Hard To Find (Hong Kong Collection, 2010)

This colour is so juicy, perfect for Summer. It's a really rich orange with just the slightest hint of a red undertone.  Has a fairly even application and you can get away with 2 coats, although I'd recommend 3. Beware though: REMEMBER TO PUT ON YOUR PROTECTIVE BASE COAT! For some reason I forgot to do a base coat (I was clearly delirious) and 2 days later my nails were stained bright orange. Not a good look, unless you're a carrot...

OPI: Wocka Wocka! (Muppets Collection, 2011)

I originally bought this red because I wanted a colour for Christmas. I'd never really worn reds before so I didn't think I'd be wearing this other than for Christmas and Valentines Day. Boy was I wrong. This is a beautiful shade of red, very rich with a slight shimmer that isn't too over the top. Even without the top coat it has a nice shine. The consistency of this polish is flawless, it glides on and only takes 2 coats to become perfectly even and opaque. I'm so glad I bought this polish, I don't know why I didn't start wearing reds sooner!

OPI: Light My Sapphire (Night Brights Collection, 2007)

Light My Sapphire is a winner! It only requires 2 coats for an even coverage and also dries relatively fast which is always a plus. The colour is almost black (with the slightest flash of navy blue shimmer under the right lights), so it's perfect if you're looking for a 'black' that has a little something special about it. If you're after a jet black, this isn't for you. My only negative (and it's only a small one) is that you need to be extra careful not to get it on your skin, as it does appear to 'stain' it ever so slightly if you let it dry there. Get rid of any excess straight away and you'll be fine, otherwise it does wash off within 24 hours.

OPI: Malaysian Mist (Paradise Colours Collection, 1993)

For me, this is the perfect shade if you're looking for a nude. It's not too pink and not too white like some nude shades. It is however a little streaky, so you need at least 2 coats. This works for me because I put on 2 coats to build up the colour anyway, but if you're looking for something really sheer and only want to do a single coat then this probably isn't the one for you. I think this shade will work with most skin tones, I'm pale and it doesn't make me appear ghostly white like some nude shades do, and I think it will work well with warmer tones too. If you have very dark skin I'd avoid layering it up too much though or it will make your nail colour look unnatural.

OPI: Peace, Baby! (Psychedelic Summer Collection, 2007)

This colour is great if you're looking for a white that doesn't have that stark look that screams 'I just painted my nails with white-out'. It has an almost jelly quality to it, which softens the look. My only negative with this polish is that it is rather streaky. You'll need at least 3 coats to remedy this. I've never painted my nails just with this colour, I've only ever used it for detailing in my nail art. While it does the job, the jelly quality of it means I really have to layer it up so it's not see through. If I get another white, I'll probably go with OPI's 'Alpine Snow'. Yes it looks like white-out, but it's better for detailing.
